The project

A property platform for Bahrain, on the web and in the app

LandLording W.L.L runs a property platform for the Bahraini market. It brings four things together: homes to rent, homes to buy, furnished short stays by the night, and home services such as AC, plumbing, electrical work and cleaning. Renters and guests, landlords and service providers each have their own side of the same website and app, in English and in Arabic.

The challenge

A rental’s real monthly cost depends on more than the rent: electricity and water (EWA), the deposit and what is included. Renters want to know all of it, and whether anyone has checked the home, before they visit. Short stays, repairs and leases add their own payments and paperwork, and everything has to work as well in Arabic as in English.

What we did

Azinove built the platform: the public website, the admin console the LandLording team uses to review listings and record verification checks, and a native iOS and Android app. Rental listings show their full cost (rent, EWA, deposit, move-in total), and verified listings a dated “What we checked” record. An AI search turns a plain-language description into filters and ranks the results by meaning. Short stays are booked and paid by card through Tap, quotes from verified providers are compared side by side, and leases are drafted, negotiated and signed in the app. Arabic runs right to left across the website and the app.

This case study is based on the project’s own information; any outcomes mentioned are not independently measured.

One app, three roles

The app opens on what each person came to do

Renters and guests, landlords and service providers sign in to the same app. Each role gets its own home screen and its own tab bar.

Before you visit

The full cost and the checks, before you visit

A rental listing answers the two questions renters ask first: what will I pay, and has anyone checked this home? Both answers are on the page before a viewing is booked.

What you’ll pay

Rent
Per month, in Bahraini dinars.
EWA
Electricity and water: included, capped or estimated, or “Ask landlord” until the landlord says.
Deposit
Refundable, or “Ask landlord” while it isn’t set.
Move-in total
The first month’s rent plus the deposit, or “+ items to confirm” while one is missing.

What the LandLording team checks

  • Home visit or live video walkthroughPhotos dated on the visit; bedrooms, bathrooms and size match the listing.
  • Landlord identity (CPR)Matched to the landlord’s CPR card.
  • Title deed or authority to leaseA title deed, or a signed authorisation to lease.

A verified listing shows each check made, with its date.

No date, no badge

A listing shows its Verified badge only with the date of the check.

Safety, built in

Report
Listings, landlords and providers can be reported to the LandLording team.
Block
Blocking a user hides their listings and alerts the moderation team.
Biometric lock
The app can lock behind Face ID, Touch ID or a fingerprint, with password sign-in as the fallback.

Never transfer money before viewing the home and signing the lease. Shown on listing pages.

Beyond renting

Short stays paid by card, home services quoted side by side

Two journeys that end in a payment, under the same rules: the total before you pay, and nothing charged by surprise.

Short stays

  • The total for your dates: the nights plus the cleaning fee.
  • Paid by card through Tap; the stay is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through.
  • The free-cancellation deadline is shown before you pay.

Confirm and pay: the price details of a four-night stay

Home services

  • Describe the job once; only verified providers can quote.
  • Every quote uses the same rows: total with VAT, what’s included, parts policy, warranty, earliest start.
  • Nothing is charged until the job is done.

English and Arabic

Two languages, each laid out in its own direction

The website and the app work in English and in Arabic. In Arabic the whole interface runs right to left: layout, tab order and directional icons. Below, one screen in both languages, then the six screenshots prepared for the App Store.

Results

What the platform does

The website and the admin console run in production on Vercel. The iOS and Android app is built with Expo and React Native, on the same TypeScript API as the website.

Renters see the cost and the checks before booking a viewing. Landlords handle viewings, repairs and leases from one Today list, and providers quote, schedule and get paid through LandLording.
