The project

One set of rules for businesses and independent workers

STAFF is a French platform that puts businesses in direct contact with independent workers for short missions: extra hands for a one-off need, or cover during an absence or leave. A business publishes its need, independent workers apply, and the business chooses.

The challenge

On a short mission, both sides need the terms before they commit. STAFF’s rules are public and identical for both: the total amount is shown before acceptance, nothing is assigned automatically, and hours can be contested within 24 hours.

What we did

Every mission follows the same five-step framework on both sides. The business describes the need and chooses among the applicants itself: nothing is assigned automatically. Hours can be contested within 24 hours. Businesses and independent workers each have their own entrance on the public site and their own space in the app.

Two entrances

Two entrances, each with its own path

Businesses and independent workers do not arrive with the same question, so each has its own entrance. Behind both, the rules are the same.

The mission framework

Every mission follows the same five steps

The same sequence applies to every mission, whatever the trade.

  1. The business publishes

    The need is described: activity, place, period and mission conditions.

  2. The independent worker applies

    The role, the duration and the total amount are shown before acceptance.

  3. The business chooses

    No automatic assignment: the business picks the worker from the applications received.

  4. On site

    Arrival and departure are clocked by scanning the code displayed by the establishment.

  5. After the mission

    The hours can be contested within 24 hours, then they are validated.

What the platform enables

Azinove and Jaikin engineered the platform: the public website and the web app for businesses and independent workers.

A business sees who applied before choosing, and an independent worker sees the role, the place and the total amount before accepting. Both sides rely on the same hours: contestable within 24 hours, then validated.
